 30/09/14 - Tuesday

In today's double media lesson we have finalized one idea and how it would progress as well as end. We produced the shot list which goes through our idea shot by shot including the different camera angles we want to use as well as possible transitions and soundtrack. After this whilst Connor and Jade were re-writing the shot list, I started working on the drawing for the storyboards.

1/10/14 - Wednesday

In today's lesson I continued with the storyboard drawings finishing 2/4 sheets whilst the rest of the group went to complete the recces. I also managed to get the prop and  costume list done.

2/10/14 - Thursday

As I finished the rest of the story board drawings at home, me and Connor went through the storyboard to work out the timings of each shot, as well as filling the camera angles/shots we will use, possible transitions, fades and soundtrack whilst Jade worked on the Risk assessment form.

3/10/14 - Friday

Today we went out of college to collect photos of our possible locations to use along side our recce forms, completed our budgeting form as well as our storyboards.
Here our the photo's we gathered for are possible locations:

6/10/14 - Monday

Today we went through all of the paperwork to see what we have completed and what was left to do. During one of my frees I completed the permissions email to inform police that we were out of college filming and that due the content we were filming it may of caused concerns for passers by. i.e fake blood, weapons and fighting.

8/10/14 - Wednesday

In today's single lesson me and Connor took photos of all the written work and uploaded them to FlipSnack to showcase all of our work. Below you will see how we choose to group it:

13/10/14 - Monday

Today according to our production schedule, we were meant to be filming outside at Meadow park but due to extremely bad weather and limitations of talent as the individual wasn't in college we wasn't able to film. However we managed film one of our other scenes that was located within the college, W16. We managed to film the whole inside scene and we've planned to film the forest scene in tomorrows double lesson.

14/10/14 - Tuesday

Today we filmed our outside scene, within the two hour time limit so we had a little extra time at the end of the lesson to add our footage to the computers and set up a Premiere Pro project so then we were ready to start editing as we successfully completed filming both our scenes for our DepicT! short.

16/10/14 - Thursday

In this double lesson we began to edit our footage. We managed to find all the effects we needed to use to make our short relate more to a film noir. We also started to edit the shots to fit our specif timings written on the storyboard due to this, it is making it easier to make sure our short is with in the 90 second time limit.

17/10/14 - Friday

Today we finished editing the first scene, making sure that the scenes ran smoothing. We had trouble with two scenes that created a jump cut due to this we had to deviate from our storyboard and add a extra scene that I luckily filmed just incase this happened. Whilst watching through the first scene we noticed that the camera shakes a little bit, this is due to us getting broken tripods. All we need to do is complete the editing of the second scene as well as add the effects and soundtrack.

20/10/14 - Monday

Today we completed editing the second scene and adding the effects for it to match the first scene. We then made a decision as a group to add a title on a black screen then fade into the first scene. We then began to edit the OSTs so they would fit each shot better.

21/10/14 - Tuesday

Today we added in the sound effects that we got off Freesound.org and made sure that the soundtrack fitted smoothly with the scenes. After this we had officially finished our short and we uploaded it onto YouTube. It turned out better then what I expect and I think that the rest of the group are happy with the outcome.
